Earlier this month, I successfully re-metered a sevenfold amen I'd been kicking around since this summer. Transposed it around a bit too.
Now I've just completed a two-voice "Ite missa est" (which is inappropriate in at least two ways).
And I'll soon work on completing an "Aaronic blessing." This is all thanks to my friend Mark Street who conducts an Anglican Church in Dunwoody. He's a champion of new music, and an all-around great musician who asked me for some benediction pieces. I guess I'll put all three of these together in a "Benediction Collection" (Definitely not a "Collect Collection") and dedicate them to Mark and the church.
Still need to get off my duff and complete a bunch of pieces, not the least of which are two outstanding commissions.
